How many got bfp after dtd only one time?

That's it really. For circumstances beyond my control, we only managed to dtd on the evening befire ovulation day I think. I got a peak clearblue very late Friday night, we dtd Saturday evening and that's it. I'm now 1dpo according to FF. So I'm wondering if there are any success stories of bfps from only dtd once? Or is this cycle a write off?

It is really hard not to stress, I'm naturally quite a chill person lol but this ttc sends me loopy! My dh is pretty relaxed and I'm trying to follow his lead. But I find it hard not to stress out. I'm in the middle of moving countries too so I'm pretty sure that's not helping! I really love hearing all your stories though, they're all putting a smile on my face 😊

Heh, DS1 took a couple of years, then we DTD just once after he was born.. I'm now 33 weeks pregnant!.. and DS is just about to turn 1 ..I'm 37 btw. It really can just take that one time!!

Me! Pregnant now and ready to pop.

My partner and I decided to try for a baby, I stopped taking the pill, DTD once and boom! BFP :)

Wasn't looking at dates and things, we thought it would take a while for the effects of the pill to wear off and that we'd just enjoy the trying but it happened immediately, within a week of coming off it.

My mum with me. I was a one-shot baby. 14 February 1957 was the night in question.
My dd was conceived as soon as her father and I started trying, but we were at it all the time in those days so I couldn't claim she's a one-shot.

Me, both times. Totally unaware of dates of anything, each time we randomly stopped contraception as we thought we might have a go I got pregnant the first time. Both times I, like the PP's DH, was disappointed not to get a few months fun without contraception involved.

Both times. Dd, in month 7 but busy so just once. Currently 5+6 with #2... we've only dtd once since we conceived dd so this is a major surprise!!

My sister did. Twice! I got my bfp after dtd twice, cd 8 + 10!

Dh and I briefly talked one night about having DC2. That night, we wern't "careful" (the only time as we were using condoms). Afterwards, I said "I'm going to get pregnant tonight". Cue the positive test two weeks later!

Currently around the same dpo as you snowdog! When are you planning on testing?

I'm probably not going to test til next weekend. Af is due the 1st or 2nd April. I'm pretty sure she will rock up as usual in all her scarlet horror. How about you?

I'd love to have that feeling Jod!!! I get my hopes up each month and then they're dashed. It's really hard to stay positive.
However, last night I did have an uber vivid dream (well 2 actually one after the other) that I was 8 months pregnant with a boy, and the second one I was swaddling a wrinkly brand new newborn boy ready to introduce him to a room full of people! When I woke up I was in tears nearly. I've never had such a vivid dream of either pregnancy or a baby of my own. I'm secretly hoping it's a sign but in reality it's just because I want it so much, I'm sure.

Try to relax and be positive it is going to happen, I am a big Believer in the law of attraction. Call it on to yourself!

I did with DC2 and for me it was exactly like it was for Jod, I just somehow knew immediately after DTD.

It was also the first month of trying for DC2 which was a bit of a shock as it took months to get DC1. That's why there's such a small gap between them

DD1 was the result of a one-off contraceptive failure. I'd been off the pill 2 weeks and the condom split.
DD2 (still cooking) was the result of 6 weeks trying and 3 10 minute sessions nights of passion.
DH is getting the snip as soon as this one is out safely, we wanted two DCs and don't want to run the risk of another incident like DD1! I'll be relaying the ease of falling pregnant to both daughters repeatedly as they get older. My DM didn't mention until I was already pregnant the first time just how easily she fell with me. A heads up would have been nice...

We did, both times very lucky and bfp first time. Less lucky with the sleep when they arrived!

Hello, first post in this forum, been on a few other.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for this thread its put my mind at rest, this month we only managed to DTD twice and I've been feeling really low about it, my OH has a really low sex drive so I've been trying not to put any pressure on him!

But all of the stats and things I keep seeing are making me feel like we won't ever get pregnant because theres such a low chance every month with how little we manage to DTD!

So thanks to everyone in this thread for there stories, feel like I've got more hope now :)

I truly believe that all the stress and anxiety of times and dates etc.... Can effect it all. I know it's hard to relax when you desperately want a child (I really do know) but try and relax and also keep your legs up after doing the deed! Don't go running off to the bathroom!

My first and current pregnancy resulted from single 'slip ups'.
My second pregnancy took 18 months!

My OH has a low sex drive and TTC was stressful for both of us so we sort of saved sex for the fertile days and then eventually just when the ovulation predictor kits told us to go. I think that may have been our problem. I usually ovulate around CD16,17,18, but both of the times we conceived easily were due to sex on CD14, rather than the day before ovulation like when we were actively trying. Could be a coincidence, who knows.

This time, dtd once without protection and got a faint positive 10 days after that. What are the chances of that?! (I'm 41...)

We dtd twice the month I got bfp with ds (after 24 cycles.......) and once with this current pregnancy (while bf, irregular periods and taking the mini pill......)

Yes. We started ttc, dtd once and bfp 9 days later. It was twins.
