UK Holiday with new baby?

We have a cottage holiday booked with DHs side of the family for the last week of August, our baby is due 22nd July. This is our second child, DS1 will be 14 months.

Has anyone else travelled with a young baby, how did you find it?

I will just be glad to have everyone around to help out if needed!

We went away with our friends to centerparcs when their baby was 8 weeks old, if you are somewhere where you can still have some "normal" then I think you'll be fine x

Tiny babies are the easiest to travel with, they don't do anything apart from eat, sleep and poo. :) I'd do a cottage no problem. If you're driving there maybe just plan a leisurely journey in case you have to stop to feed a lot.

DS is 5weeks, before he was born we considered booking a trip to Berlin for when he was 10 weeks. We didn't because we were worried about traveling with a baby. I really wish we had though, I think travelling with a teeny baby would be relatively easy.

I'm planning a trip not long after baby born...as I'm thinking as long as it has needs covered hol and baby should be ok. Great to hear others are cool with this too. Have a lovely trip Ellarose85 :)

We went to bluestone with ds1 who turned 2 the day before we left and 10 week old ds2 and had an amazing time. It was very relaxed as no pressure from real life and we really enjoyed ourselves.
