Freaking out about planned baby

Just found out I'm pregnant due to horrendous sickness. Have a 10month old that took 5 years to conceive and left me totally physically a mess. Baby is planned but we expected them to turn up in months or years not first month of ups. Totally in shock and feeling horrendous. Had 2 months off work in my last pregnancy (forcibly!!!). Not sure how I'm going to cope.

You will and in years to come you will wonder how you coped. Congrats by the way

I am in the same position. Planned baby but was told it would take up to 18 months due to PCOS.

Instead we got pregnant within about a week.

I am really worried I don't want the baby and have made the wrong decision.

I got pregnant with ds2 when ds1 was 3 months old.

Tbf, I was terrified.

However after a year it was easy and has been ever since.

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm trying to isolate my feelings about pregnancy, birth and feeding from the actual child I will have. Hated it all in until about 6months and have serious birth injuries that will need operating in after this baby. So it all just feels too much to cope with.

You will cope and it's the hormones also adding to the stress - I'm not in the same situation as you because this baby took 4 years to conceive and yet in the early weeks I had moments of thinking how will I cope? what if DS hates having a sibling? etc etc it's normal to worry.

Worth bearing in mind that each pregnancy can be a different experience, so may be easier this time around.

My second pregnancy was a little earlier than planned (currenlty 23 weeks) and to start with i freaked out that i wasnt ready as things hadnt gone exactly to plan.

As my pregnancy continued I soon started to feel more relaxed about it.I think its just the initial shock.

You'll be fine, we all muddle through somehow.
