Fetal medicine phone call

I had my 12 week scan on Wednesday (4th) and all appeared normal- was sent away with my 20 week scan booked. I then went to have booking bloods and screening bloods done. Today I missed a call from someone in fetal medicine (10 minutes before they closed) to ask me to ring them back. Having spent the next hour madly trying to get in touch, I got through to a midwife who said everyone from that department had gone home. She looked at my blood results and said they are normal but couldn't read measurements on my scan as they're not trained to do so. I'm now sick with worry and can't do anything until Monday. Has anyone else had experience of this? Any words of advice or encouragement would be greatly received xx

It happened to me too, received a letter on Friday evening from fetal medicine unit and spent very fretful weekend, not knowing what was wrong. It turned out I had antibodies in my blood, which was a result of previous blood transfusion. Nothing serious, I was assured, it just needed monitoring in case the baby developed anaemia. So try not to worry, hope everything is ok with the baby.

Thank you for your response. This is just awful. Leaving people to panic and stress over a weekend is not on in my opinion. Will wait to see on Monday.

They're open Saturday. Not sure what time they close though.

Yes, I was called because I'm high risk for pre-eclampsia (but negative for Down's). Do you have any history of high blood pressure or family history of pre-eclampsia?
