A bit embarrassed to ask but three weeks ago i had a tiny bit of bleeding after orgasm through external masturbation. i saw midwife who said cervix was closed and found heartbeat and all was fine at 20 week scan and i have a fundal placenta. but i have been having strong urges and to scared to masturbate again even though before hand i had done it several times and not bled at all.

If you're really worried maybe pay for a private scan to reassure you. It doesn't sound like what you have is an emergency so going to A+E may just make you feel more anxious as you'll wind yourself up more and not sure A+E will give you the reassurance you need. Totally understand though that you're worried but try to distract yourself and take your mind off of it - easier said than done, I know. Try some relaxation/meditation instead?

Pottering- please don't say that. I wasn't as anxious before I did and is had several times with no blood I did it. Unless you know me it's not your place to judge how anxious I am. I've been diagnosed by a gp with general anxiety disorder so please leave comments like that out thank you. I'm not being horrible but it's nones place to say how anxious I am.

I tried gp yesterday their not willing to check me and neither are the hospital so I can't get checked over. Can old blood be from a cut? It wasn't fresh So confused why both times this has I have stung to wee after masturbating.

Ask midwife/GP to check for urine infection if it stings to wee. Tmi but you can masturbate without putting anything internally(!)

I didn't insert anything manually. I did say it was external but I understand people might of missed this.

I had a urine test the other day and four weeks ago they never mentioned anything wrong

Urine test the other day was because I was vomiting a lot but I think their sticks for that check loads of things, midwife one four weeks ago was for infection etc

I know it seems daft to say, but could you have scrapped yourself with a nail, as it was external. Plus you say it stings when you pee, this could cause stinging plus small amount of fresh blood. A small cut down there especially after a session could produce more blood than you'd think!

Hi, you can get private cervical scans in pregnancy, if you have the funds. There's these people in London, if that's your neck of the woods. Might put your mind at rest.

I says the masturbation was external nothing inserted. I didn't say the bleeding was I said it was old stale blood.

Phoned maternity unit as I haven't felt baby all day today mentioned the bleeding to and they said as long as bleeding cleared up and no pain they wasn't worried. I was too embarrassed to say what caused the bleeding though
