Anyone pregnant with lupus?

Can't seem to find any fellow lupies so a last post about it.
Really struggling with pregnancy and wondered if anyone had any stories of they're experiences

Unfortunately I will not be much help yet as I am fine so far. Have had one day of swollen joints and one outbreak of ulcers, but nothing else. I am 22 weeks.

I have been told I need an "anti-rho anti-la" blood test though... Not sure on spellings there because I haven't had the form through yet. Will be phoning to chase it up soon!

Ooh I'm glad it's going ok (ish) so far for you :)
I'm 11+4 and it's been affecting liver and kidneys quite bad so already been told I'll be having bub at 36wks latest.

I've had that blood test and came back negative but they started me on clexane and aspirin anyway.

I take aspirin daily anyhow (high BMI) so hopefully I will get blood forms through soon.

You definitely start to feel like a pin cushion eh? I have an appointment with my lupus consultant in Dec. Last saw him about March time, before I got preg. Was trying at time but he said I could go for it no problem on current dose of current meds, and if I fall and find things hard, give him a ring. As I've been fine (and so is baby) there's been no need. Not sure if he knows I am pregnant actually!

Sorry to hear its been crap already! How does your manifest? Mine is mostly a joint disorder, don't have organ involvement really. My liver is monitored but it's usually OK... Except that I have endometriosis so my liver function was slightly knackered by the pain killers I had to take for that! Oops!

I was newly diagnosed in September although they've mentioned it a while, was due to start methotrexate then found out I was pregnant oops!

My kidneys have always been a bit meh, but since I've been pregnant they're function has deteriorated but they can't do anything, and my liver thing is new - I've had jaundice with it so need to dye my hair blue to look like a Simpson!

The NHS where I live is shocking, have to travel between 40-100 miles for certain specialists, very rural area. And the consultants can't seem to communicate!

Pre pregnancy was just the usual tiredness, joint pain, rashes etc but they think the pregnancy hormones have just made everything flare.

Oh bless you. It can take a while to settle. I've been on the books for lupus for about a decade now, and endo for about 6 years (but obvs had it since puberty) so both are relatively well controlled. Can imagine it's a total bitch when they aren't able to hit you with the strong stuff to suppress it!

That's good - did it take long to get "under control"?
I had some endo adhesions removed last year and never realised its classed as autoimmune?
I've not really researched much though
I can't wait to have this baby already so I can be "drugged" up and sorted!
