Hi I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have had severe vomiting so had to check my urine for ketones. Since then I've been put on anti sickness because I kept nothing down for 3 weeks. Yesterday I didn't feel sick and ate normal but I did eat some sweets. I dip stocked my urine to check I had no ketones and they was fine but I had ++++ glucose in my urine. Could this be eating some sweets or should I go to my doctor? I have experienced, over the years where my blood sugars drop to 3mmol and less but that's usually because I've not had breakfast etc.

I'd get it checked at the doctors. If it is the start of GD then you want them to start monitoring you as soon as possible.

Definitely get checked at the Drs.
I've severe vomiting and out of everything in the urine the glucose is only one not affected.

I had ++ glucose in my urine last week after eating a load of jelly tots before my appointment.

This week I avoided the sweets and my urine was clear. I just have the shame of 'was eating sweets' written in my notes haha Blush

Definitely get it looked at, it could be the sweets but best to know for sure.

I think it probably is the sweets because I had a glass of Coke and I don't normally drink fizzy drinks and there was ++ glucose in my urine but when I've not had any sweets there isn't. Crazy x
