Don't want to scare people but just saw this on the bbc website. I'm sure the chances are low but thought I'd post this for people to be informed.

Interesting! I wonder what the risk is compared to the other things that they tell you to avoid because of listeriosis (pate, soft cheese, etc)? I suppose we should be grateful that it’s not a warning about a common food – I mean, if we pregnant women had to avoid something like cereal or crisps then we’d really be in trouble!

I think it's about them putting a stick in the apple? I'm a bit of a worrier so like to be a little cautious.
