Am I pregnant ???

Need some advice...
I've been off the pill for a month now , I took a boots pregnancy test today...as soon as I done it there was the normal vertical line in the circle box and a horizontal line appeared almost straight away in the other box which disappeared after 2 mins ! It says on the packet that the line is meant to be vertical..I really don't know what to think ?
I've looked on other forums and it says if any line shows in that box it definitely means you are pregnant ? Confused Someone please help.

I would say it's a dodgey test and do anther test in a few days. People say any line is still a line but that's in terms of faintness and the time it appeared. But because yours was meant to be vertical and was horizontal and the fact it disappeared withing a minute it's not valid sorry is it possible you checked it too quick as sometimes I checked my tests too quick and it was just the dye moving across and when it had all Gona there was no line

It sounds like an evap to me, was it a pink dye test? Same thing happened to me and it was a negative.

What's an evap? Sorry lol! Yes it was a pink dye test, ooh okay ! I'm at the docs tomorrow anyway so will see what is said :) thanks ladies !!

I used a boots test as well and saw that horizontal line which went away. I think it's just the way they are made, you definitely need a vertical line for a positive test. I definitely wasn't pregnant, period came a couple of days later.

Oh and for the record, boots tests are the least sensitive you can buy... First Response are twice as sensitive so better for early testing. Try one of those tomorrow Smile
