Where can I buy maternity clothes offline?

Further to my earlier rant in aibu I thought I'd try to be constructive and see if anyone knows a good place to go which has a nice choice of maternity wear (not online!)

I'm thinking H&M, Debenhams, New Look, Gap, Next, etc etc.

Hope such a place exists and is not a million miles away from me! I'm in the south east.

Well, I daren't suggest Mothercare again.

I ended up not really buying maternity clothes as they were all awful but just getting bigger sizes in normal things! I have to say I am in love with M&S Maternity Jeans though...

What's wrong with Mothercare?

Topshop or Seraphine have decent stuff

car I suggested Mothercare on OP's AIBU thread and was told off that the OP didn't want to drive to the nearest Mothercare in another town.

I hate buying clothes online. But will tell you now you will struggle to find stuff.

I've bought stuff in Debenhams and H&M. The really big Topshops and New Look have it as well.

Seraphine is great but you can only but offline in London.

I live in Midlands and have bought a fair bit of nice stuff from JoJo Maman

Where are you OP? Kingston, if you can get there, is reasonable. bentalls, jojo, mothercare and H and M carry ranges. Still a bit crap tho.

Debenhams in Staines has a good selection too.

IME, there isn't such a place that sells decent maternity clothing, at a sensible price, in an actual shop. I've exhausted Manchester and Sheffield, and only came away from Topshop on Oxford St with one bloody jumper, which is already in holes.

Debenhams and mothercare are similar IME - overpriced for what it is, cheaply made and frumpy. New Look stuff is awful, H&M marginally better. Asos online for me now, all the way. Got some lovely work dresses, though the jeans do fall down.

John Lewis are ok for bras.

I think Gap's maternity range is only online...

John Lewis sometimes stocks Seraphine, probably worth checking before making a special trip. They may have other lines. Some bigger supermarkets have maternity wear - Asda was only one that had some actually in stock when I was pregnant, which was over winter which sounds like you. Tbh (with hindsight) I did not need anywhere near as much maternity clothing as I thought I did, ended up wearing a lot of (larger size or stretchy or swingy) non-maternity stuff with my Jojo jeans and Asda leggings

Oh dear- well Mothercare's out then. Sorry to bring back bad memories to all concerned. Didn't read the other thread.

I've bought a couple of tops in Warehouse and Oasis but just two sizes bigger and I expect them to last a good few months more (I'm 21 weeks). I also bought a few long floaty cardi's from Zara and Fatface to cover my giant arse last through winter.

H&m in central brum have just stopped doing it. I am very gutted. I can only think of mother care too.

Really disappointed I have been to Asda, BHS, Debenhams, Dorothy perkins and Matalan. Matalan had 2 racks with about 4 tops an 4 jeans. Ridiculous!!!! I like to see what I'm buying not happy.

Why are you against buying online? I haven't found anything in the shops and have had to buy my stuff online.
I believe larger new looks sell it in store though

I'm not anti-Mothercare. I just think if I'm going to travel elsewhere to shop then I'd like more than one or two stores to look through. I didn't mean to snap on the other thread I was just feeling aggrieved after just finding out my own Debenhams stopped stocking maternity wear just a few weeks ago. Then I bawled my eyes out in jojo (the only shop we now have) because they don't stock the smallest size (which I am). I'm hormonal, so sue me!

The offering in Kingston sounds much more promising I have to say Boys.

I don't like shopping online because most things don't fit me properly (I'm very petite) so it would be mostly a waste of time. Plus I don't want to have to pay for it all and be out of pocket while I wait for the inevitable refund.

I don't want to buy things one or two sizes larger as I anticipate most of me will stay small as it did last time, while my bump grows. Things with waistlines that wouldn't work with anyway.

I just think it's really wrong that I can't shop for my maternity wear in my usual way.

I've ended up with 2 pairs of mat jeans from eBay and then a few 2 sizes up tops from primark!
