Anyone else pissed off with 'baby brain' moments?

Before I had DS1 I scoffed at the existence of baby brain...until I experienced it myself!

Pregnant with DC2 now and it seems even worse and it's seriously irritating me as they're things I would normally never do!!!

Recent examples:

  1. Leaving mine & DS1's jacket in swimming pool changing room whilst we went swimming - with my iPhone and purse in the pocket!! Lucky still there when we got out.
  1. Buying a magazine (and nothing else!) at a self service checkout & then leaving the magazine behind.
  1. Going on a weeks holiday and forgetting my swimming costume & having to spend £35 on a new oneAngry

Etc etc

Anyone else feeling hacked off with baby brain too?

Lol, the magazine buying example would have made me really cry, but it is kinda funny! "Dear Shop, I have baby brain, take my charity £4"

I sympathise though, it is frustrating when simple tasks seem too much to complete properly and then other people question you, you feel like screaming that you don't do it on purpose!!
I do a technical/ analytical role at work and the other day I just sat and played with blu-tack for the afternoon because my brain wouldn't work with my files. That's brought me to tears. I just accept it now and move on, we're doing a more important role Grin

Yes, I have two dc and my brain is terrible, it just gets worse! I often walk into a room and can't remember why I'm there. And where have all my teaspoons gone?

Mine is better this time around but I've still had a few moments.

  1. I forgot my own name. Twice. Literally could not remember it at all, I actually got quite upset! I had to take out my bank card to check.
  1. Making DS a drink I put the milk in the freezer instead of the fridge
  1. Left an oven glove in a recently turned off oven - luckily I spotted it within a few minutes.

I'm sure there's more Grin

Oh that made me chuckle about forgetting your name. Mainly because I lived at my mums address for 7 years and the other day I had to write it down for something. I could not remember where she lived at all. It took me 2 days to remember and I was so embarrassed I couldn't bring myself to ask her so the form just had to wait.

I couldn't remember the word for corner the other day. I had to say "the bit where the two walls meet", d'oh!

oh forgetting the name made me chuckle! i had a similar incident at work where i got locked out of the system for trying to log in with my maiden name (only been married 3 years so easily done i'm sure!)
I met up with my mum 3 times after her birthday and forgot to get her a birthday present every time! i was mortified (i think/hope she found it funny. we are very close!).
I'm always walking into rooms and forgetting why i am there.
In my last pregnancy where 3 days were a complete blank. I could not recall anything! conversations/what i ate/ what I did. it was actually really scary as i would say something to dh and he'd be like, 'but you already told me on x day' and i could not remember. just a massive void in my brain.
