Venlafaxine in Pregnancy

Looking for some advice on taking Venlafaxine in Pregnancy.

Backstory: When I got pregnant on DD1 I was taking 75mg, small dosage but my GP recommended reducing down to 37.5mg as my anxiety and depression was well controlled at the time.

I took 37.5mg all through my pregnancy with DD1 with no ill effects and three years of successful breastfeeding.

I'm now pregnant again and the first thing I did was ask my GP to reduce my dosage as per my first pregnancy. I'm now regretting it as I'm suffering from the worse pregnancy sickness imaginable and it is really affecting my mental health.

I should also add that the only reason I am still taking Venlafaxine is because the alternative, horrendous withdrawal and personality changes, doesnt appeal to me at all.

I would really love to hear from ladies who still taking venlafaxine 75mg without any ill effects (that they know of) or anyone who has successfully withdrawn from it.

Thank you ladies.

I take quite a high dose of venlafaxine and am 20+2 days atm! Usual pregnancy symptoms but no extra side effects as yet! The advice I got from doctors was to stay on the medication as it was better for me to be on it then without!! Only thing I am concerned with is if baby has some withdrawls once it is born but that's the only risk that has been highlighted to me! Even so that will only involve baby staying in hospital a few extra days and no long term health problems have been mentioned. X
