Hi, am now 5w5d pregnant. A few months ago I miscarried around 7 weeks. This morning I did a clear blue test and it 'only' shows 2-3 weeks. Last time my weeks didn't go up, so am worried the same will happen...

I know only time will tell, but find it all very frustrating and stressful....

Hi Miffy Smile

My test showed 2-3 weeks when I was just 6 weeks. I was surprised it showed that so early. Now though, it is still only showing 2-3 weeks (I am 7+1) and I am also worrying due to having a MC at 7 1/2 weeks last November.

I think we make it worse for ourselves. Maybe it is better to just take each day at a time and try not to worry! I cannot take my own advice though as I have also posted a thread about the same thing!

I wish there was a simple answer. I will keep an eye on your posts to see how you get on Smile

Hi miffy I'm in a similar boat...curerntly 9w after a mc in April and full of worry. I know statistically it's still more likely that the pregnancy will continue than wont, but it's so hard to remain positive some days. I'm hyper-aware of whether I feel less sick/my boobs are less sore etc etc.

I so wish someone would invent a test you could do everyday to confirm you're still actually pregnant with a healthy embryo!!

good luck

Sezramum · 24/08/2015 11:29

I agree Shell that would be great! Smile

I am also 'boob checking' daily and worrying about every mild cramp etc!

Hope all goes well for you.

After a MC you are going to be anxious. That's a given. However, nothing you can do will change it. I'm now 36 +3 after TTC for a year after a MMC. If I'm honest it wasn't until I had very obvious movements that I relaxed at all. And all my scans have been very anxious times. Good luck to you all.

Hi 2-3 weeks on a clear blue is 2-3 weeks last conception which makes you 4-5 weeks so it's right. I've had 4 miscarriages all by 6weeks pregnant. Have you been referred to local EPU for early scan. Try to relax and stop testing you will drive yourself mad. I'm now 26 weeks pregnant today have faith that your little bean is okay and please try tenor to stress although easier said than done. Good luck xx

Im now 27 weeks after a mc in January. It is a really difficult time, every little niggle will feel much worse and even now i am paranoid if i get a twinge, too much cm or tightenings!

Take it day by day, you will be more anxious!

I think the clear blue are from date of conception rather than ovulation....so you would be a bit more than the test shows.

Hi ladies.

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant after 3 mcs in a row so please take hope from me.

And stop testing!!! Those tests are the devils spawn. You will drive yourself crazy. A line is a line. You are very much pregnant.

Sadly if you are miscarrying, a pregnancy test will not tell you. After my 3rd mc it took 4 weeks to become negative and sadly I was definitely no longer pregnant.

I know it's hard, but all you can really do is take it a day at a time, which sounds easy for me to say and unfortunately the fear never really goes. But honestly throw all tests in the bin. They aren't that conclusive .

Fingers crossed for you all

Hi Ladies,

I am currently 22 weeks after a MMC in February. I agree with Brummie put down the tests! Stress is one of the worst things in early pregnancy so try and relax (easier said than done I know!)

Just take each step at a time and see each week and each appointment/scan ettc. as a milestone!

Wishing you all the best of luck!

There's a thread here full of ladies in exactly the same situation, has been a great support to me

Brummiegirl15 · 24/08/2015 13:15

The threads are amazing. Definitely join one. So many people going through exactly the same thing.

I'm currently sitting trapped under a sleeping 14 week old, I had her just after a mmc. I can't agree more with the advice to stop poas-Ing as they really don't indicate a mc, and join the thread, I don't think I'd have survived my pregnancy without it. Good luck!

I had to early mc's at around 5/6 weeks. The hospital did tests and all came back clear so I was just unlucky.

4 months after my second mc I fell pregnant again and am now the mother of a gorgeous (if rather wild!) 9 month old.

It can all work out! I was nervous and expecting the worst all through my pregnancy but all you can do is take each day as it comes.

Fingers crossed it's 3rd time lucky for you :)
