Hi I posted on a here a few weeks ago about thinking I may be pregnant.. I've taken two internet cheapie tests 2 weeks ago & 1 a week ago. They were both negative.

But so far this week I've been getting a huge bloat bump at the end of each day. I'm very active I go to the gym 6 days a week and eat fairly healthy.

I have attached a picture of myself 10 days ago(left) me last night(middle) & breathing in as much as I could last night (right).

Is this the kind of bloating you would get with early pregnancy?
If any of you could help me out with any advice that would be great.. Before I completely give my boyfriend a heart attack and go to buy a pregnancy test from the shops. Thanks in advance x

Honestly trying to guess wether you are pregnant or not based on bloating is pointless. There are a thousand different reasons why a woman might be bloated, pregnancy is just one of them.

You don't say when your period is due, is it late? If it is then I would forget about spotting potential symptoms and just go and buy another test personally. Don't forget that pregnancy tests are best taken in the morning with first morning urine before any food or drink as this is when your urine will be most concentrated.

My bloat at 4/5 weeks was HUGE. I looked properly pregnant. You don't really look bloated to me. When I let my baby bloat out, I add 4 inches!! But at 9 weeks, you'd still have no idea I was pregnant. (I hope!!)

I'm currently on the mini pill so I don't have periods. I've taken two tests on a guess when my period was due and then a week later. I've had various other symptoms but put this down to overthinking when I received he negative tests. My previous two tests were first thing in the morning but I've read mixed reviews on wether they are good or not. Thank you sarkymare will poas again if this carrys on.

My stomach is normally completely flat even at night where I go to the gym so much or even after eating a huge meal this is why I'm abit concerned as my belly as never bloated as much as it is at the moment. Haha I'm sure you're fine Mrsprc! Congratulations too :)

Just buy a test! Honestly, you could've found out properly by the time you'd posted those pictures.
Strangers on the internet have no way of knowing why you're feeling bloated...

I wasn't actually asking if I'm pregnant I'm was just asking if my bloating looked like it does in early pregnancy as I've never experienced this before..

i think bloating (like every other pregnancy symptom) varies hugely woman-to-woman; sometimes i'm quite bloated, sometimes not at all (currently ~8w), wasn't v bloated at all before 6w i dont think.

if you've taken your pill correctly and have no other reason to think you might be pregnant, perhaps it's just constipation/gas/change in diet/random bloating etc?

rosexx · 19/08/2015 16:55

thanks for the reply 5hell, i took the pill late on more than one occasion as i only have a 3 hour slot. this is why i wondered if the bloat was an early pregnancy syptom. i didnt automatically assume i was pregnant as some people may think but ive had this for the last 4 days now its not just a one off, thats what made me question pregnancy again.

ive never been pregnant before (as u can guess) and ive seen alot of people on here mention a bloat in the first trimester, thats why i wondered if it could be from that, as i also didnt know if the bloat would be a certian shape or look a certain way etc. also as i dont have periods due to the pill i would have no idea (if i was pregnant) how far along i would be. :)

There's no real difference in appearance between pregnancy bloating and normal bloating, it's all just bloat.

When was you late taking your pill? As you don't have periods I would use that date as a marker and take a test 2-3 weeks from then.

I wish I looked like that when I'm bloated Sad

Good luck op hope you get the result you're looking for.

@rosexx I know this is a long shot with this being posted so long ago - but I have the exact same thing happening to me right now. I am on the same birth control and don't get a period. I am petite and fit like you and my stomach is normally always flat (unless after a meal), but now looks exactly like yours in the right photos, and has for like 2 weeks, along with a handful of other mild symptoms. Were you pregnant or something else?
