On Tuesday and Wednesday I was on a course at work, sitting in a firmer chair than usual. I noticed my tailbone started to feel quite sore, a bit tender and achy, and I had to really sit up and forward to ease it. I'm just over 35 weeks now. Today I'm at home and sitting on the ball so not felt the pain yet.
Is this just a normal thing at this stage, rather than any kind of labour sign? My MW mentioned that the tailbone has to move during labour which is what triggered my thoughts. I've had a very easy pregnancy so far, no pelvis issues and quite a small bump, but presumably some discomfort in the later stages is to be expected. However my concern is that the baby is still breech so as well as it being too early for it to arrive, I am most likely to need a CS. So if this was a potential sign of labour I'd probably need to be going to hospital sooner rather than later.
I'm sure it's just me being paranoid and most likely just chair related, but thought I'd check as I'm still in denial that there's actually going to be a baby . Earlier today I also had brief period like pains, but not enough on their own for me to worry about.
Reassure me please so I can go back to pretending it's not happening
