I've heard mixed reviews about this from family & friends. Some have said its fine & others say it's not. Can anybody shed some light on this?

As far as I am aware (I'm a midwife) there is no problem with drinking coconut water during pregnancy. I can't imagine why it would cause any issues at all

I've never heard it's bad, I drank it a fair few timea

I drank it straight from the coconut many times on holiday in my pg and it was lovely? Have heard no reason for not drinking.

why wouldn't it be? With DC1, I massively craved it and drank litres, he seems fine.

I had terrible cravings for coconut water during my second trimester - it's an expensive craving, can't think why it would be bad Hmm

Did anyone who told you to avoid it give a reason? It's essentially fruit juice, can't imagine why they'd say so.

I craved it in the first trimester, was drinking a litre a day almost. Cost me more than bloody wine! Grin

I basically lived on the stuff for the first 12 weeks - I had hyperemisis - I also craved the actual coconut too.. I'm 25 weeks pregnant with a healthy bubba boy x
