Worth going to the doctor?

Not really a pregnancy question, although it is related. I'm 25 weeks and have caught a dreaded cold. Haven't taken much, just steam and the occasional paracetamol. It wasn't too bad, until Friday where it has 'dropped' into my lower respiratory track. Again, thought I could ride it out, but it's getting worse. Every time I breath out, I sound like an 80 year old heavy smoker. My chest is tight, and walking stairs feels like running a marathon. Should I go to the doctors? Or am I feeling extra sorry for myself due to pregnancy, and should just stay in bed a few more days? If I did need antibiotics, could they harm the baby in any way? I'm extra paranoid anyway - I once self treated a chest infection, ended up with pluerisy, been a hypochondriac about these things since.

If you've had pleurisy in the past, I'm not sure I'd call it hypochondria. I think you need to take care of your respiratory system. Go to the Dr.

Thanks guys. I just don't want to pee off a doctor if it's viral, waste everyone's time. I will see how I am in the morning, if I'm the same (or worse), I'll call in.
