This is my fourth pregnancy, fourth daughter.

I am craving pine disinfectant?! Last pregnancies had more sane cravings , melon, milk & ice.

Chalk and dust. I started watching videos of sand storms on youtube, it made my mouth water Hmm

Then i started smelling talcum powder, i craved it so much I started licking it off my hand, by 38 weeks I was eating it by the spoonful Blush

The second DD was born the craving went, I don't even like the smell of it now!

Gosh YES to the chewing sponges and sniffing chlorine!!! I've been wanting to mop my floors today just to have an excuse to use bleach so I can sniff it in the hot water Blush and now I really want to have a bath so I can suck and chew on a sponge....

I craved talcum powder - but only certain brands. I remember getting through whole tubs during my pregnancy. I tried eating some after I had given birth, and, obviously, it tasted disgusting (as it should!).I also craved salty popcorn and frozen ice poles (a bit more normal I would say)

Cat food with both of mine. Both dry and wet. The smell was amazing! Still have a slight longing for some and dd2 is nearly 3 :/ other than thy it was milk, that was one if my first indications that I was pregnant with dd2

So glad I'm not alone on the sponge thing!! I have had some funny looks when telling others about it.
I've just had my blood results back and I'm anaemic, which may have something to do with it.

I also want to eat sand on the beach. You know when it's been wet and it sort of makes a crust that cracks? I'm salivating just thinking about it.

With my 2nd and 3rd I craved petrol, I didn't drink it but would have if it wouldn't have harmed the baby. I contented myself with the smell of a soaked rag in a Tupperware, lol.

Chalk for me too. And plaster dust or very fine saw dust. I spent 45 minutes in Homebase the other day just smelling the wood and dust. Is chalk very bad for you?

Pantone363 · 04/06/2015 22:19

Nicky, No you can but edible chalk I think! For what it's worth I ate a ton of talcum powder, I was fine Blush
