I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first. No symptoms at all really, only one is vaguely tender breasts (only when pressed). No MS, no food cravings, no frequent weeing, no metallic taste. All the threads on here are full of women having loads of symptoms at this stage!

I have an anxiety disorder and the pregnancy has really set it off as I can't bring myself to feel excited about it, I just think it's totally inevitable I'm going to have a miscarriage.

Any words of wisdom?

thank you everyone, you have really helped me

geeky thanks for the stats, although me being me I just think 'oh crap I'll be in the 19%'

You're definitely right I'd find something else to worry about even with lots of symptoms. Even if I had symptoms I could still have a mmc.

I hope I feel better after the 12 week scan but then I'll be worrying about the 20 week scan...then the 28 week scan...then stillbirth...then cot death....etc etc.

Yep, it never ends - the worrying.

I think it's part of being a mum! My mum still worries about me, and her mum still worries about her (at 91, you'd think she'd be able to stop, but apparently not).

Just go easy on yourself. Get help if you need it and remember you're not alone.

Good luck xxx

Well I did a really stupid thing today at 4 weeks + 4 - did another clearblue digi and got 1-2 weeks pregnant. Should it not be 2-3 by now?!

Don't know why I do this to myself :(

I wouldn't be worried about the clear blue digitals, I don't get positives on them (1-2 weeks) until about 8 weeks plus, I show up on poundland's cheap tests better than them as I got a positive at 6/7 weeks on them (interestingly not at 4 weeks though, might just be me)

thanks MustBe.

I'm thinking of going to my GP as my anxiety is all consuming and it's getting ridiculous. Last night I had a total freak out about toxoplasmosis because I changed the cat litter before remembering I wasn't supposed to. Ignoring the fact that (a) I washed my hands immediately afterwards (b) my cats are indoor cats and always have been so the chances of them having toxo are low to zero and (c) I've been around cats my whole life so I'm likely immune anyway.

The clearblue digital one for me came up much later than the other tests, don't worry x

I also had totally miscalculated my dates though and thought I was more pregnant than I was, so later freaked out at the scan as he wasn't as big as I thought he should be. He was healthy and full term in the end so it was definitely me miscalculating it.

I think what sometimes happens is you might ovulate all normally but then it doesn't implant till a few days/week later throwing you off with the dates you expect. At least that's all I can think could have happened with me as we'd only done the deed once that month Blush

ARV so sorry for your sister Thanks

But yes, I think it's so important to do our utmost to enjoy every moment we have including the pregnancy x
