different dates from fmc and uch - which to believe?...

Long story but got the harmony test at fmc and as part of the package had a viability scan around a week and half before my uch 12 week scan and the the nuchal scan at fmc five days after. Basically, the two scans at the fmc, despite different sonographers both said the same date but the uch said was 4 days further along. Know this is not a lot BUT (do know this sounds crackers) sort of prefer of the FMC date as means the drinking I did before I knew pregnant (cycles v irregular) was actually earlier than later, almost certainly within first two weeks after conception rather than after. Know FMC and UCH both excellent, and sure staff, machines the same and these things can be out by few days anyway, just interesting that 2 about 2 weeks apart had same date... Do you reckon chances are the FMC one right, or UCH, or likely to be somewhere in the middle?... Thank you!

I also had the harmony scan and funnily enough was 4 days difference between FMC and the hospital scan. I went with the FMC date as it was the later of the two. It's not an exact science unfortunately. Babies come when they are ready, as my own tardy little DS proved, by coming along a week after the FMC date!

I had scan at FMC which dated me as being due 9th November then had my next scan at 14+3 with NHS they said I was due 5th November. I know approx when I ovulated and the NHS date would have meant I conceived before I ovulated. Personally I would go with the FMC date. I am going to challenge the date with them next week.

I had 3 12 week scans with this pregnancy and got 2 differing dates 3/7 and 8/7 by my dates it should be 5/7 so I don't think its an exact science.

I'm under shared care, midwife and consultant and they are going by 2 differing dates, midwife by 3/7 as if I need to be induced she will book me in on 13/7 ( using initial date due to possible placenta failure) and consultant is using 8/7 so if I need a section they will book me in at 39 weeks.

I'm hoping I won't need either intervention and will go into labour naturally sometime in early July. Chat to your midwife and agree a date, and dont worry about the drinks I early pregnancy, I was really worried about this with my first one, to be told by a fab midwife that a few drinks was the reason most babies were coming!
