Nursery Floor Covering?

Hello! What would people recommend for nursery floors? Number 1 is on the way and we are starting to think about decorating the nursery. I'm tempted by some kind of wipe clean surface maybe with rugs? If you'd recommend carpets, what type are best for easy cleaning? Am clueless! Thanks

We have wooden floors with a big sheepskin rug.

I think anything, really. Whatever your preference is :)

Would be interesting to hear answers as we are having the same dilemma. I'm currently favouring cork tiles with rugs.

Go with whatever you like for yourself. The baby will spend a minimal amount of time on the floor of the nursery. They are much more likely to be (eventually) moving around the living areas -living room, kitchen etc than the bedroom.

We have wooden floors too with rugs. It's great for all the vomit/wee/poo incidents you may encounter along the way Grin

We have carpet across the stairs and landings, it's a good quality thick pile (cost an arm and a leg tbh!) with the best quality underlay we could get but it can be cleaned with bleach if need be without destroying the fibres. We've managed to get poo and blood out of it so far with no damage! I would ask at a carpet shop if it's carpet you want because they will be able to recommend the best.

I would definitely go for washable rugs instead of carpet.
