Got a very very light positive on a cheap strip last Wednesday. Decided to hold out a week before retesting as was feeling periody type pains. Just tested now using a clear blue and it says pregnant 1-2 weeks. Now I can't remember my last period date but know it was very beginning of April (first week) and me and dh have been so stressed and tired so have been averaging sex around once a month Blush. We last did it around 3-4 weeks ago so I'm worried that the time on the indicator means im going to mc. I've had a mc before and needed a blood transfusion and pain relief so am scared to death. Last night there was a brownish discharge when I wiped which could be thrush (which I seem to get a lot at the moment). I'm also fat, diabetic and 36. Sorry ladies I don't know what I'm expecting with this post.

On clear blue tests they say 1-2 weeks but that's after conception so your actually 3-4 weeks so it would be about right. I know your pain I had 4mcs and now pregnant and had ectopic scare with this one at 4-5 weeks the period type pains could be implantation and things adjusting try not to stress and I just to assure u I'm 'fat' I have a bmi of 39 so I'm not healthy for pregnancy but stay positive and relax take it easy and see your gp if your worried or fone your local EPU and request early scan to previous mc xx

Hi Krisp. I think the clearblue digitals are evil personally. They are notorious for being wrong and making women worry.Especially women who have had previous miscarriages.

If you really want to know what is going on, see someone about getting a beta hcg blood test. You will need to have two tests done 48 hours apart to see if the hug is doubling. That's the only real way you can see what is going on at this stage.

I am not in the UK, but I believe you have early pregnancy units? Would it be worth talking to someone there?

All the best - I hope it is good news for you.Flowers

With the clearblue it's not very clear (the irony) but you have to add on 2 weeks to the date it gives you as it goes from conception and not from last period.

Also if you aren't using your first morning wee it isn't very accurate with the indicator, in fact the indicator isn't even 100% accurate if you read the leaflet.

Don't worry x

Thanks ladies. I'm usually a C'est la vie kind of girl. I don't know why but I feel so guilty. I'm not ecstatic and not sad either. Maybe it's because I'm uncertain. Why didn't I just use a basic test? I'm blah.

Sperm.can live up to.five days, so although you had sex three weeks ago, it's possible that you may not have conceived on that actual day. CB digital aren't entirely accurate though, I know people who have been further along than the indicator. For me it was correct, but not always the case :)

When I am dictator of the universe I am banning those Clearblue tests. So much unnecessary worry. Today you are pregnant, and that's thatFlowers

Come and join us on the Posifrickintivity thread - we're all pregnant after one or more losses and understand keenly the fear that goes alongside being pregnant after miscarriage. No judgement, just love and support.

I've started bleeding. I knew it wasn't meant to be. I don't know how I feel. Numb if anything. Thanks for the advice all.
