Big brother box from baby

I'm thinking of putting together a box of treats for my 2.5 years old to come 'from his new baby brother'. Just thought the baby will be a big change for him and will be getting a lot of he attention gifts etc so wanted him to have something nice.
Any suggestions as to what I can put in it ?
( we're moving house two weeks after baby is due too so that will also be a big change for him too.

My OB appointments are at a hospital with a gift shop. They have things like cheap Mickey Mouse Beanie Baby toys. DD loves her Mickey and Minnie that were presents from the baby (I generally get her a present when I go to the OB).

I'll have other things keeping me busy when I'm there I'm sure

I'm doing this for my boys but they are older. So far I've got top trumps ( I figure I can play that while feeding) a couple of ds games, some Lego and a sticker book. Will get them sweets and a little disposable camera so they can take pics of their baby sister themselves too

We did a doll, mini change bag, pram, doll sling and doll car seat so my eldest could do what I was doing. Everything worked well except the car seat...one more bloody thing to carry!

I stayed in the MLU 4 nights and each day the baby gave one thing with box coming home with baby. The little things were a mini Bookbug, a book and a DVD.

Watching with interest as Ive been thinking of doing the same thing for my DS from his little sister!

My ds is a bit younger than yours (he'll be around 19 months when dd is born) but we're also moving too. Our new house has a garden so she's going to get him some outside toys, sand pit and toys. I'm hoping that it will be a double whammy as it will also amuse him in the early days! I'm thinking of buying him some dolls before she's born too, to practise "gentle" hands!

Aw that's a lovely idea, I might steal it, my DS will only be 16 months when baby is born and he's used to getting all the attention now so don't want him to feel left out.

Oh my goodness the camera is genius! My chap will have just turned 4 when he's a big brother... He is totally getting a camera!

We gave one present from the baby (an innotab) and bought an assortment if small things in a box so he could select one when people arrived who has bought things for the baby and nothing for him. It worked really well .my ds was 3 when my dd was born. I shouldn't have worried though, he adored her from the moment she was born and was only upset when other people held her as he wanted to look and stroke her all the time
