I'm 8w4d pregnant today and all day I've been having extremely bad backache and tummy pains. I'm also suffering with really bad nausea (either due to the pregnancy or a tummy bug that my ds has that I've picked up). Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has or had these pains at this stage of pregnancy? I don't remember them from my last pregnancy and am a bit worried. Thanks.

Thanks a million mummyneedinganswers. It sounds like you're going through a hellish time with the morning sickness. Is this your first? I only had my little boy 20 months ago, but it's so hard to remember what this stage of pregnancy was like. I think we kind of blot it out ;-)

Yes I've had the back pains and stomach cramps.

I'm 11+5 and I think they may have started just before 10 weeks. I had such bad pain I had to stay in bed all weekend, went to gp on the Minday who said it was probably a UTI. Rang them back on the Thursday because I didn't think the antibiotics were working as the pain was still there only to be told my sample was back and it wasn't a UTI after all. The pain eased off that weekend so lasted about a week in total although some days were a lot better than others. I was constantly afraid of going to the loo incase there was blood but all seems fine so far.

I've got my 12 week scan on Monday so fingers crossed all is ok as it was put down to normal stretching in the end.
