Just looking for reassurance really. I'm only 12 + 2 but I'm freaking out every now and again asking myself can I do this? OMG there's a baby growing in me, soon I will feel it moving etc. Is anyone else having these freak outs? I'm worried x

Yes, I get them all the time! From what I gather, its a completely natural feeling. It's thinking of the massive responsibility that scares me to death and whether I'll be able to manage and be a good mum. I spoke to someone the other day about it though and he said that once your baby is here, as hard work as it is, the love you feel for them and the joy from the little things they do like clasping your hand or smiling, makes it all worth while. I also find it overwhelming sometimes the thought that an actual baby is growing inside me, however I love feeling the kicks, it's a really nice feeling and I find it helps me to bond with her. I've now got less than three months to go and Ive found that whilst the time dragged in the beginning, now it seems to go really fast and I can't believe that as of next month, I'll be saying 'my baby's due next month'. I'm sure you'll be fine, but do talk over your fears, especially with those who've had kids, as I'm sure they'll be able to reassure you. xx

I do get similar moments where i think how can i stand this (tiredness, sickness, aches) for nine months (and beyond!) and it annoyingly seems to coincide with DH being in a happy busy mood. It's all natural and hormones. In my case right now its definately tiredness.
This is why i joined mumsnet so we have somewhere to offload.

Do you have support at home? Parents nearby that cant wait to help the moment baby arrives? Draw on these people to help even now if you have one of these moments. It's a huge thing we're doing creating a life but you CAN do this and as the months go on you'll feel more confident.

Keep yourself relaxed and happy and baby will be happy. x

Thank you for the lovely responses, it helps to know I'm not alone. Not a lot of parental support here (not really any) but I have great sisters with kids so that should help! I just haven't really got my head around it yet and now there are 28 weeks to go which is ages but at the same time flying so quick! Argh! The thought of baby growing inside me I find a bit hard sometimes too but hopefully that will get easier x
