Silvercross Pioneer or Surf 2...any views?

Have narrowed it down to these two - I am more inclined towards the Pioneer due to the size of the basket (surf 2 basket looks a bit pointless) but interested in others views...have you used either/both? Any recommendations?

I have plumped for a pioneer. Haven't used it yet though but the two main reasons I preferred it to Surf was basket size and wheel size, just seemed more practical.

I have a Pioneer. Been using it for the past 4 weeks and love it, the basket size is a real plus, I can get quite a lot of shopping in it when I need to and it handles really well too.

Can I ask zebra do you find the pioneer has enough suspension for rough ground? I've had my eye on it but the reviews for the wayfarer which looked similar has awful reviews about suspension and getting up and down kerbs and my local mothercare only has the wayfarer on display to play around with not the pioneer

I've gone for the surf2 - not used it yet. We got it because we like in the countryside so the wheels/suspension is better for us. It's small enough to fit in my fist 500 although I agree the basket is pretty pointless. I'm going to buy clips to go on the handle for shopping xx

we went for the pioneer - can't wait to start using it Grin

I would get a pioneer over the surf any day of the week. The fold is better on the pioneer and is easier to use. I sell loads of pioneers (I work for babies r us) the pioneer can take a bigger child as well as it can take 18kg instead of only 15kg on the surf and yep bigger basket and batter wheels.

I hope that helps x

Thanks all! After a bit of a road test today we are going for the Pioneer after all...just seems a bit more practical...folded better and basket size pipped it just as you said kate. Bit gutted the colour set doesn't come in 'aubergine' though...apparently that just comes with the surf 2 - but think I have managed to convinced DH that raspberry will work :) Now keeping an eagle eye out to see if I can catch a sale somewhere.

We have the Pioneer and maxi cosi pebble car seat. DD is 13 weeks now and it's been great. Basket is a really good size and whole thing very manouverable.
