morning sickness - does it come and go or peak at certain weeks?

I'm 11+5 weeks. I had a MMC last year so I'm anxious this time. I had a private scan at 8 weeks and seen the heartbeat so I really should stop thinking about this!

I (rightly or wrongly) think sickness is a good thing, lots of hormones doing their job. I starting feeling sick about 6 weeks, starting being sick at 7 weeks, then was sick everyday between weeks 8-11 and feeling rotten constantly. Now it's tailing off a bit, I feel loads better and not sick every morning anymore.

Is this normal?! I know I'm overthinking it but just humour me!

Think it is very variable tbh but mine was completely gone by 14 weeks and never really gave it another thought, went back to eating (relatively) normally etc. It does seem strange as when you're in the middle of it, it feels as though it will never end!

Plenty of other horrible pregnancy niggles followed it though, it's just different trials for different stages!
(Or apparently some people are just radiant and glowing!!!)

Thanks! You're right because some people aren't sick at all. I've probably jinxed it big time and it'll be back tomorrow morning!

Everyone says it'll go around 12 weeks and then I think "but I'm not 12 weeks for another 2 days!" (told you I'm overthinking it..)

Anything is normal and what you describe sounds pretty standard- sickness peaking 8ish weeks and tailing off around 12. With my first DD I had 20 weeks of sickness, I then had a miscarriage where I hadn't had any sickness, and now I am 25 weeks with another pregnancy where I was sick for 9 weeks and have been fine since. All different Smile don't fret, you are likely to be just fine

I think it's pretty common for it to tail off by 12 weeks. i had terrible sickness with this pregnancy but it was gone by 12 weeks only to reappear at around 22 weeks for 3 weeks Confused. Don't worry about it going- I only had very mild nausea for about 2 days with ds.
