Hi ladies.
Pregnant with my second ds. I'm 27 weeks. First dc laid transverse for a long time and didn't turn until lasts minute. Also had the c section booked. This time midwife said that this's tyke one was lying with his head on one side ( on my right) and legs on my left ( imagine a 'u' shape. I'm getting kicks on my left side mainly and whilst in quite petite in frame my bump looks quite wide as obviously he is lying width ways.
Anyone similar ?
When are they meant to turn to be head down ? Or at least be in the correct position?
As much as I've heard kicks in the ribs are painful at least it's an indicator that baby us in right spot. I'm not sure this little one is going to play ball. I'm hoping he will ...
Welcome your experience.
Tia

You have ages yet and second babies tend to move later And around more.

I'm 39 weeks with my second and he was transverse until 36 weeks. He's now head down and ready to go so don't panic yet! Hopefully theyll move by themselves!

mine is in a very similar position to you op. I'm 23 weeks and mine has been in exactly the sane position at every scan and I have had 4 scans so far. This is my dc3 and never had anything like this with my other 2. I'm not sure about you but I also find my bump very uncomfortable. I spoke with the midwife about position and she said they wouldn't be too concerned into I reach about 36 weeks and if it's not turned by then , then I will have to be assessed at hospital for a birth plan. My baby is measuring quote big for dates to so I should imagine I'll definitely feel it when he or she does decide to move :/

Hopeful - hopefully dc3 will move for you but just for the heads up- my scans have shown a big baby ( size/weight is off the scale!) and at 35-36 weeks I didn't feel him turn from transverse to head down at all. I actually told the MW he hadn't moved - U til we realised he has when she examined me so you may not feel it !
