Feeling sad

I just want to vent somewhere really so here goes... Cd1 for my last cycle was 14 Feb so I'm guessing AF was due 14th Mar. This was my first month off the mini pill was was ecstatic to get a BFP on Friday. Tested again Monday to make sure and still positive but last night started light pink spotting. I know this in itself isn't always a bad sign so went to docs today feeling semi-hopeful but not good news ??. The nurse did a preg test and said the line was only faint when it should be dark by now and so now I've just got to wait basically to miscarry. She said to come back in a week whatever to check it's all done. I'm so sad and have gone home crying which i know is ridiculous since we only knew for a week.

Now also stupidly worried I won't get pregnant again - anyone got any nice positive tales of falling pregnant easily and keeping it after early m/c?

Can't believe the nurse said that to you after just a test at the clinic. Your line looks pretty strong to me. I spotted in my first pregnancy (actually thought it was my period arriving late) and everything was fine with it.

Fingers crossed for you.x

That nurse probably wouldn't have believed I was even pregnant! I had such a faint line, I doubt it would have passed the MN confirmation test. The first response I did a couple of days later wasn't exactly a 'nice dark line' either. The nurse should have done a blood test on you, that's the only way of knowing, or book a scan with epu in a week or so. Honestly, that's shoddy care as far as I'm concerned.

That nurse was talking utter bollocks. Obviously nobody here knows how your pregnancy will proceed. But neither does that nurse based on how dark a line is. Hmm I'm quite shocked and I think you should complain. At this early stage, only two HCG blood tests 48 hours apart will give you a definitive. There's a vast range of what's nirmal, HCG-wise. And the darkness or otherwise of a test strip depends on how sensitive it is, how much dye there is in the test and how concentrated your wee is.

Fwiw I never had a line as dark as that. I'm on my way to pick up my not very dark line from nursery now.
