bleed at 9+1 reassurance needed

can anybody give me some good stories about bleeds at 9+1?

i just had an mmc november last year and im so scared. just sat watching telly and felt something come out 'down there' almost like id pee'd or had excessive discharge. rushed to the loo and it was blood.

there was a little clot about size of a 10p piece and bright red blood. sat on loo wiped a few times and it seems to have stopped / calmed down.

has anyone experienced this and it been a good outcome?

i did have some cramps but felt like trapped wind and thats what id put them down to.

have to wait until wednesday for a scan.

Hi ginger, I ad bleeding at 11 weeks, just after our scan, including passing a pretty big clot. It was on & off for a few days. Started on the Saturday morning and couldn't get scanned until the Monday. Everything was fine and DS is now a hulking 14 year old who'e taller than me. Also had some bleeding, although no clots, with 2nd DS at roughly the same stage, so don't automatically assume the worst. Hope everything turns out okay Flowers

thank you so much easy.

was so strange and out of the blue which is making me hope to goodness everything is ok.

i had a stabbing pain like trapped wind prior to this but i still think the two are unrelated unless me trying to 'relieve' the trapped wind has caused it?

I bled around that point. 7yo DS is safely tucked up in bed cuddling his teddy. And he's lovely.

Oh I understand it's very worrying.

I had a wee incident about a fortnight ago on holiday when I had some brown spotting. I panicked, phoned the GP who was brilliant and booked myself in for a private scan the day after I arrived home.

I didn't want to wait on the NHS one in case I ended up waiting a couple of weeks on it having already had to wait a week to get back from holiday.

Long story short, I had my scan and the sonographer found the heart beat immediately - phew!

My sister-in-law had an experience more similar to yours though where she had red bleeding and at her scan they couldn't find the heart beat. She went back a week later and there it was! A strong wee heart beat!

My midwife was very matter of fact... She said it's not unusual to have bleeding but on the other hand it's not normal. It wasn't entirely comforting.

Thankfully on here I have heard far more positive stories than negative ones so hopefully it will be just fine for you too Smile

Let me know how you get on with your scan. I have my fingers crossed for you Smile

I've read loads of threads since then where people are worried about bleeding, and the amount of people who post their own stories about how it was all fine by far outweigh those with bad outcomes, so try not to worry (I know you will anyway!). I think some people are just prone to bleeding, just like some are more prone to suffer from morning sickness, or any of the other pregnancy symptoms. I certainly didn't worry as much the second time it happened, as I knew it had been fine the first time, and just assumed it was the way pregnancy was for me.

gingerbreadmam · 15/03/2015 21:41

thanks so much crazy. both reassuring stories. i will keep my fingers tightly crossed.

i am debating a private scan to get seen quicker as wednesday feels so far away.

tbh im trying not to worry. as it was so different to mmc where i had spotting.

i have had no spotting this time just this actual red bleed so i hope that is a good sign.

Oh, and the scan lady (can't remember the official name?) said that wherever the blood was coming form it wasn't the uterus, so presumably it is possible to bleed form somewhere else and for that to be "normal" so to speak...was a bit worried where else the clot might have come from though Confused

i didnt know you could bleed from other places either. how odd! i hope its that! thank you so much i will sleep a little easier tonite i hope.
