Been told could of weeks ago Ive got gestational diabetes. Went for a normal check for this yesterday and I was told by the doctor some worrying things like:- they will stick a tube on the baby's Head during birth?? He didn't elaborate on this even though I asked him to. Apparently I will have blood clots after I've given birth?? And lastly he said about when I go for my 20week scan they will put 2 monitors on sides of womb (uterine artery Doppler?) again I asked for them to explain these things to me and they didn't as apparently it's nothing to worry about.
I feel I'm just working myself up about all this, would love for someone to explain all this to me?
Also is it normal for these doctors to keep you in the dark about things?!
Just feel because I'm fat (size 20) and have a high bmi they don't need to explain nothing to me because Im causing all these problems due to being obese.
Would really appreciate any advice/explanations xx
