Pregnant with a sub chorionic haematoma...has anyone had this experience?

I am 15 weeks on Tuesday and have a had bleeding since 6 weeks. It was on and off at first and then constant for three weeks at a large gush in the beginning and red to minimal brown ( sorry for TMI ). I wish I could be writing excitedly about which baby name to call my girl but unfortunately my first pregnancy at 42 has been given this extra challenging situation. I have put myself on bed rest with only trips to the bathroom and kitchen. Anyone going through this or does anyone have any experience of it from others or know of any support groups I could join?

Yes-I started bleeding red blood at 10 weeks and they found a subchorionic haematoma in the uterus. These are actually more common than you think but most are just absorbed back into the uterus. Mine was coming out as I was straining due to severe constipation. The bleed lasted 4 more weeks and then nothing. Anomaly scan at 20 weeks showed it had gone. It is horrid to see the blood each time but Baby will not be affected by it-please try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)

Thanks for the news Kitty. It's great to hear that yours stopped.
Mine has unfortunately been going on on and off for a longer time so I wonder if that does affect the baby? I read that if it starts before 8 weeks you have a higher chance of things going wrong.
You are right it is SO scary to see the blood and exhausting to constantly monitor it's colour and strength.
Out of further interest, what did the doctors prescribe for you? Bed rest?
Also, I have received a very bad prognosis from one saying that the baby has not got much chance at all. I am trying to not this ink negatively and making sure I send positivity to her as much as I can.
