Hi ladies

Just looking for a bit of advice really. I'm 24 weeks, but have barely felt any movement as yet. The last couple of days I've felt little 'bubbles' but not sure if I should be feeling more?

Do you know if your placenta is anterior (at the front) it may say it in your notes.

Yes it is anterior, but I thought even then I should have felt a bit more by now?

Well mine is low anterior and I can only feel kicks higher up. A couple of day ago I felt nothing for 2 days because baby had obviously moved into a lower position. I'd guess if yours is smack bang in the middle then it could cushion almost all kicks.

I have only felt direct kicks not rolls or hiccups or any other movements and i only feel that if i lay down and concentrate. Do you have a midwife appointment coming up this week? Hopefully they will get the Doppler out to put your mind at ease.

I am reliably assured but friends who have had anterior placentas that we will soon be getting kicked all over the shop and kept awake but them!

I have an anterior placenta and didn't feel definite movements til I was over 28 weeks. I'm now 39 weeks and getting punched in the ribs non stop! don't worry if you haven't felt anything yet, it bugged me that it took so long to feel any kicks but we just need to wait a until the baby gets bigger as our anterior placentas act like a cushion!

Luckily I have a midwife apt on Tuesday so should be hearing the heartbeat for the first time. Thanks for the info ladies, it's put my mind a little more at ease!

I'm 26 weeks now and I'm only really starting to feel more regular kicks and movements. I have anterior placenta and it can be worrying when people feel movement from 12 weeks. My midwife said I can expect to feel proper and regular movement more from 28-30 weeks so don't worry x

Perfectly normal with an anterior placenta, don't worry
