Promethazine (Phenergan) VS Metroclopromide

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of either of these?

I was taking 3 x Metroclopromide a day for the last 3/4 weeks and it was working ok-ish. I'm so tired though, the Dr suggested changing to Promethazine incase the Metroclopromide was causing the tiredness.

I took one of the Promethazine last night and it didn't make me tired at the time, but I had an awful nights sleep. I was very restless and shouty in my sleep, and I'm very groggy today. I'm just worried, because if I'm feeling groggy, how is the baby feeling?!

Does anyone know which one of these is 'safer' for the baby? (My chemist didn't give me a leaflet with the tablets, so had to do my research on them online, which I know isn't always reliable).

I took metaclopromide and there was research on 40000 Scandinavian women showing there were no harmful effects or increase in birth defects. I found it did help (and meant I could continue struggling g through work and looking after my toddler) but caused lots of jaw ache but that improved when I ate more magnesium. It wasn't a magic cure though. No experience though of the other.
