Can't stop eating!

Hello all,

I am almost 16 weeks pregnant and the past two weeks I have been hungry CONSTANTLY. I wish I could say all the foods I've been eating are healthy, but sadly it has been more of a case of whatever is to hand!

Should I be ignoring my hunger pangs? I am not overly worrying about my weight, although it is a niggle at the back of my mind... I lost a fair bit of weight in the first trimester due to sickness, but have put that on and then some since then!

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Eat eat eat... I am the same during pregnancy, and I just keep eating :) last time, despite it, I didn't put on too much weight, so don't worry too much - just eat to hunger.

I'm still the same at 26 weeks! I've found making fruit smoothies/juices works well, fills me up and tastes gooooood.

I'm the same. Almost wrote a similar post. I am eating what I want: some times good stuff and sometimes bad! Feel the guilt afterwards at the end of the day when I think about the sugar I've eaten in some days !!!Shock I'm only a size 8 and seem to have small babies so I'm not too worried about putting weight on myself ( If anything I'd quite like a normal healthy birth weight for my son ) just worried that it's not all healthy nutritional foods.
I'm 23 weeks and feeling the hunger is getting worse the more pregnant I get. Woke in the night ravenous so had a big glass of milk and a Bickie!!
I guess it's all in moderation??!! ( as I step away from the packet of biscuits!)

Same here, 17 weeks tomorrow and the amount of sugar I've eaten is insane!! I have fruit in the day at work to graze on but come dinner time it's chocolate/cake/biscuits I crave. Is it a bad thing to try to calorie/portion control during pregnancy??

I have not eaten much through the most of mine did not have an appetite... but the last few days 34+weeks so fucking hungry its stupid!! I could eat a cow!

Me too. I'm limited in what I can eat due to sickness but I have to eat every two hours and that includes all night or I feel really ill, so as far as I'm concerned I have no choice.

Thanks everybody, it's some reassuring to know I am now the only one going through this! Today I have brought a load of fruit to work with me and I am hoping I will be able to resist buying any naughty snacks at lunchtime!

I've bought some Stevia which is a sugar substitute and it actually tasted good! They have recipes on their website for cookies, brownies, cakes etc so thought I could get baking on the weekend with some not so naughty sweet treats :-)

Snap. Gained 8kg so far at 24 weeks. Feel like a giant fat blob, esp as bump not especially visible yet so it jsut looks like i am getting fat!!! Frustrating as i am still goin to the gym 3x per week.

No great tips. I bought rice cakes, low cal cereal bars, cup a soup and nice fruit to try and reduce biscuit consumption. Not really worked though! Suffering from extreme mini egg cravings.....

I have to keep up a pretty continual stream of eating all day otherwise I get to feel really sicky and ill. I'm only 10 weeks!
