Feeling really low and down Sad I had really long hair and decided to go short again before baby arrives.

Had it in a bob lots before and loved it.

Well iv just got home and can't stop crying. They've butchered my hair ConfusedSad I HATE it. They've put "layers" in that look like a kid has done it. It hangs horribly. I just hate it.

Now feel ugly and awful and miss my long hair Sad I wish I never did it Sad it took years to get it the length it was, now it's gone and I have to live with feeling uglier than ever. Can't stop crying Sad

Oh no Sad

I've had a hairdresser do this before and I know how you feel.

Would it be possible to go to another hairdresser and get them to tidy it up into a better style?

Gunpowder · 26/02/2015 11:56

Oh no! You poor thing. Definitely go back and make them fix it, or to a different hairdresser if you don't want to see the same one again.

Joyfulldeathsquad · 26/02/2015 11:58

Oh no Flowers Its happened to me twice.

First time Edward scissor hands hacked away merrily making me look like a boy with a crew cut

Second a hideous perm that was shocking. I switched from hysterically crying to laughing in shock!

Can you go back to a decent hair dressers and get it rectified by the head stylist?

I did on both occasions and they sorted it out.

Big hugs love xx

Trying to eat beans on toast while sniffing through tears.

So silly, but I just want to hide Sad every time iv gone from long to bob in the past iv loved it. Felt so fresh and nice.

I just have this horrible depressed feeling now and every time I catch glimpse of my reflection I cry again. I know it's not the end of the world but it feels like it. I feel so ugly Sad

This was my second visit to the same salon (initially went yesterday and came out unhappy so I emailed them and they invited me back today with a different stylist) 'stylist' is a very loose term I would use Sad

If I go anywhere else I'm going to have no hair left Blush they've hacked at it so badly at the ends to sort it out would require a trimmer and a crew cut ConfusedHmmSad

Sorry for the rant. Feel so depressed now when I should be looking forward to the birth of my baby Sad

This happened to me when I was younger and I too thought that if I went anywhere to sort it out I would end up with no hair. However, I went to a good hairdressers in my area and they sorted it out for me, it ended up shorter than I originally wanted but it was in a style that complimented my face shape and I actually ended up really liking it.

A good hairdresser can sort out a terrible haircut, so I would urge you to go to another salon and ask them for advice.

CarbeDiem · 26/02/2015 15:09

Oh no! :(
I've experienced this too and it's totally shit.

If you've got the energy do try to go visit another salon and speak with them. You never know, maybe there's something they can do to help.

If not then then you soon won't have much time on your hands to think about it.
Good luck with the hair and with the baby Xx

Want2bSupermum · 26/02/2015 15:15

Oh no! Is there a good hairdresser near you? I would get to somewhere like tony & guy as they are very good at creative stuff.

Have some chocolate OP. This would have had me so very upset at 40wks. My hormones were everywhere and I was totally not able to handle something like this.

tomatoplantproject · 26/02/2015 15:15

You poor love. I have struggled to find a hairdresser since living and then if had a really bad cut a few months ago. I lived with it for a few weeks and then went back to my old hairdressers and had it restyled by the owner. I now travel back to get it done. I also have a photo on Pinterest of the look I am aiming for.

And good luck with your brand new baby!

Molotov · 26/02/2015 15:17

Oh, you poor thing Sad

Just remember that hair grows approx half-an-inch per month: in 6 months, it will have grown 3 inches Smile

Some hairdressers ... Wash, dry and style your hair yourself and try some gorgeous new products in it to lift your spirits Smile

It feels shitty now, but it will grow back.
