I have quite a sharp pain in my lower left side, it's been there all day it is sometimes a sharp pain and other times just a dull ache. Should I be worried?

You probably need to get this checked out by your doctor straight away, to put your mind at rest.

I had a twisted ovary at 11 weeks. It was excruciating, so I don't think it's that.... it could be round ligament pain but as MTG said, get it checked to put your mind at rest.

I have this my doctor said once you get to 12+ weeks you will start feeling sharp pains in your side and they're fine as long as they're not debilitating or accompanied by bleeding.

I've currently got period pains convinced I'm about to come on any minute and my scans tomorrow so scared

Hi worrywart my scan is tomorrow to and I am quite frankly shitting myself lol x The pain had gone when I woke up this morning so I am hoping it was ligament pain. I also have a lot of adhesions on that side from previous sections so suppose it could be those playing up. Good luck for tomorrow. Thanks for the replies ladies x

Hello just to reassure you, I had exactly the same thing this time around, at 11 weeks 5 days. Went to a&e and they referred me to the early bleeding clinic although there was no bleeding. It turned out to be nothing but ligament pain. I was in agony with it to the point it took my breath away. I thought maybe ectopic but the doctor in a&e said that if it was we would have known about it earlier. He said the most common causes are uti infection or a cyst on your ovary which the stretching uterus is starting to bump into. Hope it all goes well for you, try not to worry Flowers
