Firstly, I understand that all pregnancies are different and vary but I am 20 weeks pregnant with number 2, scan this week to find out sex.

I already have a boy; while pregnant with him, I had horrendous morning sickness from week 5 until about week 12. It was all day, nausea, vomiting, dizziness etc. I couldn't keep anything down for weeks.

This time around I didn't have morning sickness until week 8, but it lasted until week 16 and it was much less severe. Was relieved by eating little and often, fresh air and a plenty of rest.

With my first I had bad headaches in the first and last trimester.

This time around I haven't really had headaches, fewer than pre-pregnancy.

I didn't gain any weight until about 24 weeks with first. But when I did, it felt it never looked very neat - just fat (and I was much slimmer at the time too).

This time round I was already rounder to start with but my little bump looks more like a bump this time and it although I'm heavier than before, it's quite neat and narrow.

My boobs got a lot bigger last time, but still small but just a little swollen this time around.

Anyway, any mothers had different symptoms and the same or different sex?

Pregnancy, labour and delivery exactly the same.

One girl, one boy.

The sex of the baby makes no difference to your symptoms.

2 completely different pregnancies so far. Expecting second DD.

geekymommy · 23/02/2015 15:21

I had more nausea in my first pregnancy with DD than I do this time around (expecting a DS).

Cisforcat · 23/02/2015 15:40

Dd first pregnancy- no symptoms , but massive weight gain, carried everywhere!

Ds this pregnancy- sick as a dog til 16 weeks and on medication for be sickness, neater bump with less weight in ither places despite being larger to start with. Heartburn so bad I'm on constant medication, Itchy skin. Sore ribs. mUCH bigger boobs.

Different genders and totally different pregnancies ! ( now to hope this labour is different and better than my horrendous one first time!)

I had almost no sickness with ds who's now 6. A really easy, simple, almost pain and niggle free pregnancy with glowing skin!

I'm now 26 weeks with my 2nd.

I've had hyperemesis so bad I lost over a stone and was hospitalised serval times, my skin has been a constant battle between spots and dry as a lizard, I've got sciatica, horrendous heart burn and other things I won't even go into to!

At my 20 week scan I was absolutely floored when they said it was a boy! Shock

I'm happy either way I really am but I was sooooo shocked.

I had zero morning sickness and not many other symptoms with ds.

This pregnancy I have had awful morning sickness up until 14 weeks and still get nausea now at 21 weeks. Just found out we are having another boy! It seems symptoms make no difference at all.

Exactly the same pregnancy with all dc. 2 girls and one boy.

Gemzybelle · 24/02/2015 14:29

2 DD's - COMPLETELY different pregnancies

Number3cometome · 24/02/2015 14:31

DC1 - boy, similar pregnancy to DC2 - girl

DC3 - much sicker, more cravings, feel more tired, moodier - boy

Probably my age Grin

Yes. With both dds sickness and food aversions, more weight gain and more mood swings. With ds no sickness at all, much better on the weight and mood swings but lots more tiredness and aches and pains.
