Nipple phobia and breastfeeding

Hi, I'm 11 weeks pregnant and a bit worried about the impending breastfeeding. I really want to breastfeed but I have a nipple phobia (I know it sounds strange) but I hate my nipples being touched, even touching them myself - DH has always been told to keep off - and I really don't know how I'm going to cope. I can't even stand the feeling of an erect nipple! Has anybody experienced this before or am I just crazy? I've been like this since I was a preteen & just haven't gotten over it. Blush x

I'm exactly like this about nipples - it feels HORRIBLE to even think about them being touched, hence I didn't feed DC 1&2. The thought of it made my toes curl! For some reason decided to try feeding DC3 and it is completely fine! Feels so normal, not at all the same kind of feeling as I get otherwise. I still can't bear to even brush against my own nipple, but I LOVE breastfeeding, it is a comfortable feeling and not horrible at all. You could just decide to try it if you want to, if you hate it - just switch to formula.

I was the same, but it all felt fine- I am bf DF at 17 months old as I type. The only problem has come when I needed to put lasinoh on them- still found it hard- but you only need that for a few weeks. It will be fine.
