Review on Private Consultants at Kensington Wing? Amer Raza?

Hi Everyone

I'm looking to do private care in Women Wellness Center and deliver Kensington Wing.

The doctors i've narrowed it down to are
Roshni Patel
Amer Raza
Vassou Terzidou

Is there anyone who's used any of them lately? I'm leaning towards Amer Raza.

Thank you all :)

I am under Roshni, but I don't see her at WWC. She delivered my last baby and I was in no doubt I'd book in with her this time. She is approachable, warm, knowledgeable and was incredibly calm and in control under pressure when I delivered. I don't know the other 2 you mention though.

I am with Vasso Terzidou and very happy so far. She explained to me that she and Roshni are covering each other's patients when one of them is away. I haven't met Roshni or Amer though.

I did have meets & greets with Keith Duncan and Nick Wales though. I did like Nick very much (he is quite a character!) but then decided to go with Vasso who I liked just as much, but she is a mother of 3 herself (and I knew I'd simply be more comfy asking her silly questions as it is my first baby) plus her package is 1000 quid less.

Thank you both, very kind of you to take the time to provide feedback.

Amer Raza also has a lot more things included in his "pregnancy package" (same price) like scans, midwife appointment etc which is all carried out at WWC, that's why I feel it could be a good idea to go with him. Don't want anything to get lost between clinics, but I guess I'm just paranoidGrin

Thank you both again!

I'm with Roshni, and I'm really glad I picked her, she's been great. It's also my first time, and I'm anxious at the best of times. Pregnancy is bringing that out even more, with a real vengeance!

I'm so thankful I'm with her, as she's incredibly knowledgeable but is also very compassionate, and has a great bedside manner. She never makes me feel silly for raising concerns, and always deals with them very quickly and with good clinical judgement. She really 'gets' what it's like to suffer with anxiety (in a way many doctors sadly don't), and is proactive in dealing with potential concerns even before I think of them, eg by suggesting we agree the birth plan as early as possible so I won't then be worrying. I trust her 100% that she will do her utmost for me and my baby. I never thought I'd say that about a doctor, tbh!

Also, she's a mum of three herself and knows exactly what it's like to suffer all the aches and pains and worries, eg with ante natal testing. I'd have no hesitation in recommending her 100%.

OP, please double check on Amer's package cause it did happen to me that I misunderstood. I was told by Nick's PA on the phone that it is "all inclusive" but didn't realize that scans and bloods are NOT included until I met with him and subsequently asked her to send me the full info by email. There in the package it was written then that it is only the appointments with Nick (and MW) that are included, no scans/bloods though.

And to my knowledge, the only cunsultant there who includes scans in his package is Keith Duncan, because he is doing them himself. However, even with him only scans after 12 weeks were included in his package (excl. anomaly and growth scan, these still need to be paid separately).
