Hi everyone!
I'm new to mumsnet and new to all this! I'm 30yo and 6weeks pregnant (yay!) I'm really worried about the effect stress could have on my pregnancy. Life has been really difficult the last few months- my sister has been diagnosed with cancer and I have lost two immediate family members. Unfortunately the docs think the cancer is likely to be genetic so I am in the referral stages for screening and genetic testing. I'm so worried about the implications of a positive result, both for myself and for the baby, and now I'm worrying about worrying (crazy!) Not really sure why I'm posting really, just struggling a bit with so much that is happening and all the unknowns!

You poor love. You've got a lot on your plate. Not sure I can say much to help but I'm sure I read somewhere that a degree of stress is good for a foetus!! Try to take good care of yourself and wishing you all the best x
