Got my 12 week scan tomorrow and scared that they will not be anything on the screen I don't know if it's just me being silly.

This is COMPLETELY NORMAL!

Try and keep calm and I hope you have a wriggly lime sized baby in your tummy. It is truly amazing.

Whatabout · 17/02/2015 15:50

Perfectly normal to worry, I worried last time and this time. Got my scan in just under two weeks and I will be worrying all night. What will be will be, just try and relax. Flowers if you have got this far then that's really positive.

Mine is on Friday and I'm the same. Just keep going over all the things that could go wrong! It must be normal to worry. Good luck for tomorrow :)

Cornberry · 17/02/2015 20:52

I mean I just keep going over them!

pinkie1982 · 17/02/2015 21:36

I was the same. Had + tests, sickness, bloating and still didn't really believe it until I saw on screen!

I'm in the same boat so feel your pain! Im having an early scan today at 10 am. I'm only 7wks+3 so I'm concerned they wont see anything at all :-(. I'm having it early as I had a miscarriage last year so I feel doubly worried that it might happen again! I'm sure you will be fine and I think it's normal to be worried. I feel so sick myself- nerves and dreaded morning sickness, what a great combo! :-) x

Redsparklyshoes · 18/02/2015 09:00

My scan is today and I didn't sleep at all last night! Feeling nervous and apprehensive just in case but so hopeful for to see everything ok. Watching the clock! Good luck to you all.

babygiraffe86 · 18/02/2015 09:56

plonkie do they allow that? i miscarried 2 years ago and ttc now but terrified of waiting 12 weeks for that 1st scan, if i request one at 8-9 weeks i thought id be told no and just have to wait and strees myself out even more :(

plonkie · 18/02/2015 12:38

Babygiraffe- yeah they encouraged having an early scan next time to put my mind at ease. I had to get my gp to ring up the early pregnancy unit and they booked me in. I can't recommend it enough! I've just come back from mine and everything is great! I could see the heartbeat and the baby is the right size and in the right place (I had an ectopic last time). I was in bits thinking it had all gone wrong for no reason. So yes, don't worry I'm sure they'd do an early one for you- they don't want you stressing! :-)

Mummyc87- I've worked my due date out from my last period as 4th oct! It was too early for them to see from my scan but they did say the baby is the right size for 7 and a half weeks :-). Oh how lovely, your little daughter sounds like a cutie! X

Redsparklyshoes · 19/02/2015 18:44

I had my 12 week scan and got some lovy images but baby is too relaxed for its own good and lay on its back with arms behind its head and legs crossed and wouldn't budge to have the neck measured! Despite walking, drinking water and then emptying bladder and jigging around it was happy laying chilled out! Back on Monday hoping its awake! Perhaps the yoga I've done has calmed it down!?
All limbs and heart beat present and correct :)
I had an internal scan too to try and get an image, not pleasant but nothing to worry about at all.
