Is there any truth in the skull theory?

I went for my 20 week scan last week and am so happy that our baby looks healthy and is growing well. Baby had its legs crossed for most of the scan, so it looks like we are going to get a lovely surprise in July :-) Sonography eventually told us that she got a sneak peak between the legs but didn't feel sure about determining baby's sex. So for a bit of fun started looking into the skull theory this evening. Is there any truth in it? I have uploaded my 12 and 20 week scan pictures to see what people think. Thanks :-)

I was told by a top consultant that no, not proven at all. There's truth in the nub theory though.

I don't think there is, by my scan picture ds should be a girl, he had a textbook 'girl' skull, very rounded from top of the head to nose, but he definitely is a boy. Absolutely everyone who looked at the picture predicted a girl, including many people on here, so we were really shocked when he turned up a boy, lol.

For what it's worth, his nub was also textbook girl, pointed straight down, so I think it can be really hard to tell unless you get a good shot between the legs after 16-17 weeks.
