Bounty packs? Worth the effort

So after trying four different branches of Boots and my local Superdrug, nobody seems to have the "mum to be" bounty pack now know how to get one or when they'll get more in. The Bounty website allows you yo report this and says the store needs to be told to set their stock level to zero to get a new delivery....but based on today's attempts, nobody knows how to do this either.
Is the pack worth trying a few more stores or should I just give up now? Not sure how much effort I should put in for a freebie!

I remember having to try loads of places too. But I seem to remember it is full of sample sizes and money off vouchers, so. Worth it in the end I think.

I didn't want to give them my details as I heard the marketing spam is dire. Having got the first and third packs anyway, the only thing I used was the tiny pot of sudocrem and the wipes, pretty useless otherwise so glad I didn't hand over my details just for that.

If you're there anyway worth picking them up but I wouldn't make a special trip. Emma's Diary is the one you have to watch, they sell your details to EVERYONE!

I gave the details with my first and received lots of junk mail and phone calls trying to sell me stuff, including a call about being a "responsible parent" and setting up life insurance for myself and for DS "if I'd struggle with funeral costs" when he was 3 weeks old

I didn't fall for it second time round.

I managed to leave the spam mail behind when I moved house, and will NOT be signing up for anything with baby #2. You get next to no freebies, just leaflets and magazines.

I even got marketing phone calls trying to flog photography packages and children's books.

Not worth it.

I thought it was useless. I binned everything except the single decaff teabag from PG Tips.

Thanks ladies. I didn't know MN had a campaign against them and agree that the concept of a sales person wandering around a post bats, ward is morally wrong (and would be actively banned in any other hospital ward or department where strict guidelines are in place about accepting marketing stuff). I'm due to move before giving birth so if i do decide to handover my details it'll be the poor folk who buy our house who suffer the junk mail but if the samples aren't actually that useful then I won't try too hard to find one.

Yea, I made the mistake of handing over my details to Bounty and Emma's Diary again this time round, and the free stuff really wasn't worth it for all the bloody junk mail I'm wading through!

Pack was rubbish, but I have been impressed by some of the deals sent via email. I've had no junk mail yet and very little email spam. Maybe I'm just lucky!

I didn't get any spam or emails. I think I just requested not to... and I thought some of the stuff was quite handy too.

Haven't bothered as I suspected spam. I did sign up for Boots Parenting Club as there were some reasonable offers and they already have your info with the Advantage Card.

Ooh yes I agree, boots parenting club is great. You get 10 points for every £ spent on baby stuff, so I bought the buggy through them and got £50 to spend on 'freebies' of my choice! They send out a magazine with new offer vouchers I think quarterly, and they seem to be tailored to the age of your baby - so when he was newborn it was all free photo printing, nappy cream and discounts on nursery furniture. Now it's all weaning pots and food offers. And no junk mail!

Yeah, bounty packs are awful. But, if you can find a supplier, Mama packs are fabulous! I got 2 while having dd and loved them - if I have another I'll treat myself to one a week if they're available.

With my first it had lots of samples and vouchers this time it seemed to be mainly ads,not worth it in my opinion!

I really want a mama pack but can't find one anywhere! One site had then but there checkout was broken (you pay for postage) and they never replied to my email about it.

I saw the MW yesterday for booking scan and near the end she tells me as I'm walking away that they've no Bounty packs left and apologised, I said it's fine. I won't lose sleep over it.

You don't get anything special in it anyway. It's a total waste of time, I just remember getting loads of leaflets and shite that you ended up having to throw out.

Total bunch of intrusive marketing crap. The only useful things iirc were a tiny tub of sudocreme (useful for your changing bag, though the lid kept coming off) and a nice purple plastic spoon in one of the weaning packs.
