I'm not really sure to be honest,
But I take the pregnacare tablets which has all the recommended folic acid in and I took them all through my last pregnancy.

I am and I'm 19+5.

I am but in our area you get enough multi vitamin and folic acid for free to last your pregnancy. I think it's only really needed in the first three months but I think you can but some for about £1 in Home Bargains.

34+ 2 and taking Pregnacare Max which I think has folic acid in it. I don't think you need to take folic acid after the first 12 weeks - the guidelines all seem to say that it is most important before conception and in the first trimester - but I figured a pregnancy multivitamin couldn't hurt.

My doctor says it's best for baby if you carry on taking them throughout pregnancy

Echo what hopeful said. Midwife told me today guidance has changed and to take folic acid all through as well as vit d, vit c and calcium. So a pregnancy vitamin basically.

I'm 20 weeks and still taking it. Had planned to continue throughout.

Yes it taking it through to birth, but folate rather than folic acid as its more natural.
