37+ 3. Early labour symptoms?

I didn't have any early symptoms with dd1, I woke up one morning with a period type pain which gradually turned into proper contractions and she was born the following lunchtime 2 days before her due date.

I'm now 37w+3 with dd2 and yesterday had a presentation scan to see if she was breech, sonographer said she's head down and is very low and that would have been why mw couldn't be sure, she did a few measurements but couldn't do the head circumference as she is so low.

A couple of days ago I felt a light trickle of fluid and have since felt an odd drip but nothing significant and the sonographer confirmed there is still plenty of fluid there and said that it's common.

I was woken up last night a few times with mildly painful cramps but there's no pattern or regularity to them and today have a raging headache and slightly runny poo, I'm having a couple of tightenings per hour for a few seconds which don't hurt and generally feel a bit off the hooks, as if I've got a tummy upset.
I can also feel pressure on my pelvis.

I'm probably clutching at straws and know early labour can last weeks but secretly hoping for a flood of replies saying she'll be here in a few days Grin
How likely is spontaneous labour before 38w?

You may be getting some signs of early labour as your baby's head is probably fairly well applied to your cervix if it is that low. However, it may not stay that low and then your niggly pains will most likely ease off. Do you know if baby is OP as that would tend to prolong things at this stage.

How likely is it? Well, loads of babies are born before 38 weeks. But, as you well know, this sort of niggling could go on for weeks.
