Low placenta and sex??

I had my 20 week scan today and my placenta is blocking the exit! Have another scan at 32 weeks so hopefully it will have moved up.
A couple of friends have told me they also had this at their 20 week scan and the sonographer told them to avoid sex as it could cause a big bleed but my sonographer never mentioned that to me.. Can anyone who is/has had this shed some light please? Thanks

Majorly covering the cervix then yes I believe the advice is usually to avoid sex, strenuous lifting Etc. I was told mine was near but not on the cervix at 20 weeks but that I could continue as normal with no precautions necessary. Any bleeding and you should go straight to be checked out. Most do move though so don't stress too much.
