Gender - boy or girl?

Hi I'm new to Mumsnet and am 17weeks pg. I'm waiting for my 20 week scan to find out if I'm buying blue or pink but I'm itching to know what I'm having! Have posted my 12 wk scan pic to see if anybody could shed any light? Smile

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to tell from a 12 week scan, even for medical professionals (which I'm not)

What are you hoping for?

My friend paid privately for an extra scan at around 16 weeks as she was so impatient to find out!

I'd guess boy looking at the flat shape of the forehead, I did used to be quite accurate but have guessed the last couple wrong so may have lost my Midas touch Wink

Try babynub.com, they'll be able to tell you. Looks like a girl to me, a very flat nub!

Thanks very much for your responses. I had previously been told boy by my friend who is a midwife and has seen the pic but having read so much about nub theories I don't know what to think! ????

You cannot tell gender for a few years at least anyway. But for the sex I would guess boy.
