Hi all, I had an emergency section 9 years ago and I'm now 16 weeks pregnant. Ive been referred to consultant due to complications in last pregnancy. Midwife has said I should discuss my options for birth with consultant. I have pretty much made my mind up and want an elective section. Will I need to convince the consultant with my reasons? Will be giving birth in Glasgow. Thanks x

I'm in the same case as you.

Emergency cs 5 years ago and now 16w pg with DC2. Due to the circumstances surrounding my DS's birth I know I wbt an elcs. My consultant has advised me that he would recommend an elcs and I was happy not to have to fight my case.
Having seen the mw this week, I'll be refer to the VBAC clinic to discuss the birth options! Not many as I cannot be induced and this birth will be at 38 weeks.

Good luck

In Glasgow, having an elective after an emergency 8 years ago. No problems at all, very supportive indeed. After seeing posts on here I thought I'd have to fight for it but exact opposite. Good luck x

wee I'm at southend too. Print off the nice guidelines if it makes you feel better to take along. I had no teouble at all but they may you wait until 36 weeks before they'll book you a date in.
