Anyone got an itchy rash all over their bump?

It's driving me mad! I'm trying not to scratch but I'm waking myself up in the night scratching!!

Moisturising doesn't help, is there a perticular cream I could get? Thanks

Have you had it long? Might be worth giving your midwife a call.

Hi I agree with patatas. I remember reading in one of the booklets I got at the beginning of my pregnancy talking about itchy skin on your bump and legs. I would of thought it's nothing to worry about and could be just from your skin stretching but it's worth a check with your midwife x

Agree to speak to your doctor my midwife seemed quite disinterested by the itching. ended up on steroid creams but E45 itch relief cream did help...and frozen bags of food from the freezer!! Keep yourself cool it all helps

I had this in my last pregnancy. Mine was a condition called PUPP which stands for something like puerpal urticaria pustules of pregnancy iirc. But itching can be down to a more serious liver complaint so you ought to see your doctor to be sure. You have my total sympathy, it was miserable!

Actually I have just googled what I had and I didn't get the name quite right - it seems to be called PUPPP now.

I had this - used calamine lotion at night and it cleared up very quickly and hasn't returned.

I had puppps. I found even with steroids the itching never completely went. It just became manageable!

Yep I had the same thing puppp. Had it from the last 12 weeks before birth all the way through breastfeeding (although it did calm down several weeks after birth). However I Still get regular smaller patches on my legs at certain times in my cycle (2.5 yrs post dd). Horrid thing. Mine was treated with steroid cream and piriton antihistamine tablets (not the one a day type), but not till after the birth. Was told I could still use the cream sparingly with this pregnancy.
Agree about other serious conditions occasionally causing itching so always get it checked. My gp had never heard puppp though and had to look it up on the Internet, so worth being armed with a possible cause
